Island Beauty

Just came back from a much needed vacation... Got to visit St. Kitts, St. Marteen, Barbados, St. Lucia and St. Thomas. Every time I travel I like to wander mostly through the small towns and villages just to get a sense of what the place is about. I love getting to learn new traditions, try different foods and take about a million pictures...yeah pretty much around that. Since that is obviously too many for a post, I had to chose wisely.

Its incredible how fortunate I have been...having these wonderful people around for so long (some of them almost 20yrs!!).

Hairstyles come and go....wrinkles and greys pop out of nowhere.

They have been next to me when times are tough...but they sure know how to party HARD!

Every single minute I spend with these friends is amazing...I treasure them all.

Model Inspiration: La Wasson!

Ok...so there are a few models in the fashion industry that are really an inspiration to me...only a few and Erin Wasson is one of them. This Texas girl really gets (what I believe) is the effortless-cool-boho-urban chic look that I am always looking in order to express myself. Living in DC is kind of challenging because is a city where mostly everything is kind of "cookie cutting" style..very Banana Republic-J Crew style...somewhat boring to me, although, I love Banana Republic! I have a mission to help change that! Ja...it will take me years to change the minds of all of these young politicians-Hill staffers- but, my intentions are good...simply: have fun with fashion, there are no rules; the only rule that applies to this will be: BE TRUE TO YOURSELF!
