Dark Spot Solution

Happy Monday everyone!

Just wanted to make a quick post on two products that I highly recommend to erase dark spots.

Even though I love the beach and sunbathing, I have noticed that through the years, my face was covered with dark spots from the sun, and every time I dared to go to the beach without sunblock, I would get these dark patches, especially on top of my upper lip.

I was mortified.

This meant that if I ever wanted to have a tan, it would have to be from the neck down.

Tanned body, white face: Awkward!!

Still, that is just something I will have to deal with.

I discovered that a good makeup bronzer is something worth investing.

I had found the solution to that problem.

Still, My dark spots where there.

Palmers Skin Success is a Hydroquinone based cream that helped me erase my dark spots.

It has its fair share of bad reviews, as a suppose other great creams do too. Some don't like its smell, some say its toxic.

All I know is that at a cheap price, my dark patches were gone. and it didn't take me more that 5 months.

Concha de Nacar de perlop is a funny story. This cream is quite famous in Puerto Rico and other Spanish speaking countries and the ads for it were just so CORNY!

I still decided that I didn't have much to loose by giving it a try.

It consists of oyster shell powder which is known to aid in tissue regeneration, promoting and accelerating cell renewal.

It also contains lemon juice, salicilic acid among others.

Its recommended to be left for 30-60 minutes on your face.

I had to use a lot of makeup, especially darker blush to try to disguise my patches.

I have no expertise on beauty products.

I am just a woman who is willing to try PRODUCTS at an affordable price before going to the expensive ones...

I like to recommend what has really worked for me.

I am aware though that we all have different skin types and that our results may be completely different.

But we will never know that until we try them.

Ready for a Splash

Summer is here!!

That means its time to get back to the GYM!!

While I do that, I just wanted to post some pics of some items that for me are essential

for Summer, as well as some of my favorite bathing suit styles!!

I have always said that if I could LIVE in a specific piece of clothing for the rest of my life, it would definitely be a bikini.

I am loving the Trikini trend...

Cut offs, glitter nails and colorful pieces are highly recommended.

Glitter Love

Just added a new color to my nail collection.

It just screamed at me.

I'm serious.

When this kind of thing happens to me in the middle of a store, I just obey.

I hope she blends in with the "others" on my nail polish bag, something about her makes me think she is an attention seeker.

Drama on its way...for sure!

Terrariums

I love Terrariums!

There is something about having a few Cactus around the house that makes me "make believe" that I am in a deserted, little cozy Hotel Spa, where all you can hear is the sound of the breeze through some tree branches...

It just gives me inner peace.

Plus, making terrariums is so easy!

Mother's Day

Today, is Mother's day.

We celebrate a mother's love, protection, caring and that huge responsibility they take everyday

for us.

I have a special mother.

My mom was left a widow on her honeymoon by her first husband, while she was pregnant of her first child.

An he never even got the chance to know.

Later she had to support herself, her daughter and her mother completely alone

and she wasn't even 25.

A few...long years after that she met my father.

She gave him two daughters one of them this cute little bundle of fat (yes me!!)

8 years into their marriage, they divorced.

My mother is the wisest, strongest woman I know.

And still the one I admire the most.

She has rheumatoid arthiritis, osteoporosis and she has been in a wheelchair for almost 6 years.

She still maintains her joy and her strength 

and her faith inspires me every single day.

Not everyone has the priviledge to be a mother.

Some women never find the right man, some may just never be blessed with the gift of conceiving.

Some will never be able to afford to adopt.

I think any woman who cares, protects, nourishes and love a creature is a mom.

I do not think only those who can carry a baby in their wombs are mothers...the one who adopts is no less.

I am a mother.

God blessed me with a dog that is definitely half human.

He is extremely allergic to most foods and to the environment as well, causing him to have had syncopes which scared us to death.

I have had sleepless nights watching him, just to see if he was in fact breathing.

I have rushed him to the hospital every time his face has swollen, while feeling that I has going to have a heart attack.

I nourish, I bath him and I take care of him every second of the day.

CoCo and I have a  Special Bond

No one will understand.

I believe in connections.

In any shape or form.

A connection between a man and a woman.

A woman with a bird.

A child with a dog.

An old man with 4yr old.

I am his mother.

Happy Mother's Day to

all of you who are one as well.

Fashion Night Out

Been so busy lately that I had forgotten to post some pics of a Fashion Night Out at Neiman Marcus with some of the coolest Fashion Bloggers in Miami.

I had some cocktails and cupcakes with my Blogger Friend Lina

and I noticed that they matched with my neon green nail color and accessories...

oh well! I guess I am always in tune with alcoholic infusions that play with my brain and sweets that fill my belly.

We also had a fashion show...

But I will post some snaps of this another day
