Carnaval on the Mile

This past weekend I was invited to a VIP Bloggers Lounge

Sponsored by Kiwanis Of Little Havana Foundation. The pass included:

• Backstage passes to Carnaval on the Mile and Calle Ocho stages 
• Networking opportunities with sponsors  
• Interview/photo opportunities with performers  
• VIP Lounge with WIFI hotspot access 
• VIP gift bags and other special prizes 
• Refreshments
• Special parking passes
• Transportation to stages 

Unfortunately I arrived late and couldn't meet with fellow

 bloggers or sponsors so 

I used my spare time walking the noisy street full

of vibrant music

tents full of arts and crafts

and delicious carnaval food.

Carnavals remind me a lot of Puerto Rico.

Pinchos (meat on stick or commonly called Kabobs) are very famous there 

and the smell of the BBQ smoky flavor fill the streets.

I had to go solo but found myself enjoying the time alone.

I hardly remember the last time I was, yet the sweet and calm feeling of it

is something I deeply yearn every once in a while.

I hope I can make it a little early for the next Carnaval at calle Ocho 

this upcoming Sunday, March 9th.

I am sure it will be just as good as this one was!
