Sometimes I wonder why days go by so fast

there is hardly any time to enjoy the rain pouring down or a nice hot shower running down our backs.

Does time really go fast...or is it us,

just living like zombies day after day

without really living?

Another Year...So Many Sweet Dreams

There is something awfully powerful about the word new...
New beginnings, new chapters, new life...

But every day is a new day...
and every time we do something is a new opportunity to do it differently.

Today is the second day of 2014 and like every year, I find myself having lots of enthusiasm, lots of determination to start the year and do all the things I always wish to do and be the person I always wish to be.
But why, I wonder, does this enthusiasm lasts up to mid February?
Every year I sit in front of a blank paper thinking about resolutions, goals and dreams...
this year is no different.
Only that this year, most of my wishes, most of my dreams are linked to another soul... a little one I may say, which holds my heart in his tiny hand.
Life is sweet. Sweet as freshly home made cookies. Sweet as decorating them with the ones you love. Sweet as the kisses I give to Baby Gianni.

The Adelante Movement (what really went down)

I just arrived home from Hispanicize,

 and while my home smells like my presence was missed,

 and I'm back to where

everything flows with ease,

 I cant help to miss

 their voices, their giggles at night

their whispers in the dawn.

My friends have stayed and I had to leave.

Between the woman and the child

Lately I've been feeling strange...

like I don't even recognize my fears, desires

my motivations and my dreams.

Lately I've been feeling like everything that is happening to me

is unreal.

That all of a sudden I am a character in one of the wacky dreams from the movie "The Cell"

where fantasy and reality collide in the most freakiest way.

Let's Party and Sparkle!!

The last day of 2012 everyone!

I am excited to say goodbye to this year and start a new one.

I love new beginnings and I love all types of celebrations.

Tonight my nails will sparkle with the most spectacular

silver glittery nail polish from Essie

I used Essie 's "LadyLike"

as a base to give the silvery sparkle a boost while

still looking delicate and feminine.

Gold is for Christmas..Silver is all about New Years!!

Welcoming the New Year the Right way

A celebration for a New year is always exciting.

The hope for better and bigger things,

the motivation to accomplish certain dreams 

the challenge to stick to resolutions...

I always like to start the new year

the best way that I can.

Leaving behind angst, old anger,

disappointments, messy lifestyles, and unhealthy habits.

About Dreams

Work has consumed every little empty space of my brain labeled specifically for creativity

and believe it or not, I find a lot of my inspiration from dreams...

In dreams, most of the time I am in complete control.

Not only that, but I can even be conscious sometimes that I am dreaming.

I can visit places that exist and I can even create my own places...

I sometimes can even start complicating things if I am getting bored...like for example I could take a branch out of a tree and start painting the sky, I can decide to fly out of space to mention a few...

Model Inspiration: La Wasson!

Ok...so there are a few models in the fashion industry that are really an inspiration to me...only a few and Erin Wasson is one of them. This Texas girl really gets (what I believe) is the effortless-cool-boho-urban chic look that I am always looking in order to express myself. Living in DC is kind of challenging because is a city where mostly everything is kind of "cookie cutting" style..very Banana Republic-J Crew style...somewhat boring to me, although, I love Banana Republic! I have a mission to help change that! Ja...it will take me years to change the minds of all of these young politicians-Hill staffers- but, my intentions are good...simply: have fun with fashion, there are no rules; the only rule that applies to this will be: BE TRUE TO YOURSELF! Can't Wait for Summer!

I apologize I haven't been able to post anything other than lovely pics from Free People Catalog, but I will get back on track very soon. Next few days I will take a week off from work so I bet I will have plenty of time to play dress up.
Summer is one of my favorites seasons...being a boricua I am used to living in summer season year round so..I guess thats why I love it so much. Sun, white sands and clear oceans are very hard to beat.
These items will get anyone in "beach" mood.
