The Yucatan's biggest archaeological site is Chichen-Itza, which is perhaps the largest, and most accessible Mayan site, about 125 kilometers west of Cancun and Cozumel.
This ancient Mayan ruin, is a must see for turists around the world where you can really see the rock carvings, soaring pyramids, massive temples, and carved columns.
It has been named one of the seven wonders of the world.
I fell in love with Mexico, with its beautiful landscapes, crystal clear beaches, genuine and hardworking people
and all of its different cultures within the state.
As they celebrate their Independence...I celebrate with them!

Such a beautiful place. We flew there from Cozumel on a small plane. I admire how the Mayans preserve their culture and language.
